Where possible, the CCDB maps these concepts to unique identifiers contained in the Subcellular Anatomy Ontology (SAO) or NeuroLex. Many concepts are also cross referenced to the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) or other appropriate ontologies. Identifiers beginning with "BF" refer to Bonfire.
