Description

This video shows stationary epidermal cells with copious retrograde flow of actin. Actin-myosin networks initiate at the cell periphery and flow towards the cell body. Even though actin-nucleation and retrograde flow are taking place, the cells remain stationary with respect to their substrata. Video made available by Mark Cooper thru Zebrafish - The Living Laboratory.
