Description

Metaphase I in a diploid lily pollen mother cell. The nuclear envelope is gone and the 12 bivalents can be seen lined up on the metaphase I plate. Counting from the top left and moving to bottom right, the 9th and 10th bivalents overlap a little.

Technical Details

Feulgen stained light microscopy image collected using a bright field zeiss microscope, using a 100X, N.A. 1.4 Neuflar lens.
