Description

Mitosis is visualized here in a U2OS human osteosarcoma cell transduced with 'Cellular Lights' Histone 2B-RFP to mark the nucleus red and 'Cellular Lights' MAP4-GFP (MAP4 is a microtubule associated protein) and imaged the next day. In this video, microtubules appear green and histone proteins in the nucleus appear red. Cells were imaged on a Deltavision core microscope with a 40X objective images were collected every 5 minutes for 16 hours. Fluorescence was detected using the appropriate filters (FITC/TRITC). Scale bar = 20 microns.
